Jeremy Evans took home the All-Star Slam Dunk trophy 2011-12  NBA season
The NBA's regular season begins very soon, and I'm pretty thrilled.  I'd like to see more minutes from Jeremy Evans this season, but that's totally up to Ty Corbin (the Jazz head coach).  If you aren't in the Jazz loop, Jeremy Evans was the Jazz member that won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest last season during All-Star weekend;  the first Jazz player to win in franchise history.  Utah fans nicknamed him the human-pogo-stick because of his lank and his hop talent.  over 50% of his field goals last year were dunks.  He and point guard Earl Watson were show stoppers with their famous alley-oop chemistry that wowed the crowd almost every game against almost every team in the NBA.
I remember the Jazz playing the L.A. Clippers last year when they came to Salt Lake. The NBA's Fan base nicknamed the Clippers "Lob City" because of the many players who were talented at catching a lob and slaming it home, however when they came to Utah our defense shut them down quick and not only did we blow them out with 108 points to their 79 but we made far more dunks; 16 points in dunks 5 separate dunks being alley-oops.  Now lets give Jeremy Evans credit here because he was the energy and momentum that kept the Jazz on their game soaring across courts smashing the orange leather ball deep each go through the 10 foot high rim.
Though his skill set might fare better on the Harlem Globe Trotters, Evans is an amazing player to watch in the NBA when he actually gets offered the minutes (by Ty Corbin) on the court.

I know after reading that, you are astounded; "Where's the art references?"   Well...... Jeremy Evans is a pretty damn good artist too.  He studied art at Western Kentucky University.  His art has been featured on CBS national television broadcast of the "Hilltoppers" NCAA second round battle, as well as on Utah's Root Sports.
A unconventional piece of art drawn by slam dunk sensation, Jeremy Evans on a pair of his shoes.
