This past year (ending February 10th) has been the year of the Dragon. 2012 was predicted to be a wild year and that has held true so far. Lots of great times, crazy times, bad times, sad times, and more worthwhile memories in a single year than I've ever had. If you had asked me a year ago if I would be where I am now, I would probably have laughed uncontrollably or slapped you in the face.
This next year is the year of the Snake. It is supposed to be a year of progress, a time to take advantage of any opportunity and loophole in like that you find. It is also a time of changing ground and infinite possibility to fail. Like a snake, you have to build a safe place from which to work up to your goals, a refuge from the troubles of the world, if you hope to survive it all.
In 2013 I hope to push myself further than I've ever gone in life. I hope to look back at this time in one year and be able to say, "Look at what I've done in so little time." I need to focus on the things I care about, and use that to motivate me to reach these new goals.Where do you see yourself going in the next year? What do you see yourself doing?

Yo Thomas Whitworth............ I'm a Dragon. (I was born in 1988, year of the dragon). I'm glad that my year, (the year of the dragon) you were able to make lots of worthwhile memories. I'll take credit...JK, but really, If I wasn't born, where would you be? probably in Pioneer park making over 100 dollars a day, loitering, and panhandling. No, you are crazy smart..I enjoyed your stories this year. You were probably my favorite dude to read. Good work. I can't say that this is an AMAZING accomplishment, but hey, it is (Thomas Whit)worth something I hope.
ReplyDeleteHaha you are far, far too nice to me! I can't express enough how much all of that means, other Thomas. I loved getting to know you through all of your stories this semester- they were some of the most heartfelt and honest things I have read. Thank you for giving me a wild, dragony year!
