Almost there!

I can see the finish line of the semester!

I have two more papers and one test then I am all done!  This weekend I actually get to go out of town and hang out with my sister and her in-laws, who are like my family too.  This semester has actually been fairly easy.  Spring of this year was my tough semester.  Each professor acted like I was only taking their class and so had oodles of time to work on assignments--that all seemed to come due at the same time.  I HATED spring semester!

So this one, while no walk in the park, was relatively easy.  And then...one more semester until graduation!!!  I can't believe it has been three years already!  Time really does fly when you're having...er...fun.  Or maybe it just flies when you're busy.

I am excited to get this last semester out of the way and move onto the next chapter of my life.  No more massaging sweaty bodies!  No more wanting to scream because none of my clients want to talk and I have been quiet for eight hours!  Now, don't get me wrong, I like my private time, but I do need to talk now and again to keep from going insane.  I have lived a lot in my head the past seven years that I've been a massage therapist.

See how she's not talking?

What's funny is that I am choosing to be an editor and they don't do much talking during their job either.  Sure I'll ask my fellow copy editors about something, but for the most part, we're reading silently, listening to the reporters and designers chat and watch YouTube videos.  But I really don't want to rethink my career choice.  I like words, I like reading, I like learning new things, and all of those things are covered with editing.  So...only a few more months until I am, hopefully, employed full-time in this field.

  1. The key to everything in life is balance. So if you are doing things that you love to do at work, and creating a social life at home (with lots and lots of talking) I think you will be loving life in no time. :)
